Re-construction

Never in my life have I felt and seen so much reconstruction going on.  I was driving down the road the other day to see my Tibetan/Chinese medicine doctor and as I was moving through lane changes with orange cones or barrels showing me the way to merge or detour my path, it came to me.  This, this very action I was viewing and being part of on my drive was a perfect metaphor for what was happening to me on the inside of my body and spirit!

As I waited for my turn to go at the direction of the woman holding the two-sided sign - STOP or SLOW - to turn for me to go forward slowly, I looked at the construction or actually better said, re-construction and got this message.  Just as the digging up of sidewalks and roadways to get to the old gas, water or electric lines is happening, I don't really need to do anything about that.  It is happening without me taking any control of it. I have no control.  Somehow this was reassuring to me to realize.  I also "heard" that I know this area and using my knowledge and intuition, I can actually make my own way down side streets to by-pass the wait and get to my destination easily.  I have options.  Either way I choose, to stay in the traffic or make my own way, I will get to my destination.  I may not have control over what is happening around me but I do have choices.

Also, if I use the metaphor of the re-construction as what is being felt within me, my body and spirit, I see it as a way the Universe is telling me that this is happening and there is nothing I really need to do about it.  The body is doing what it needs to do to repair and get rid of old "stuff", detoxify, make way for new and better lines of necessary things for me to live and thrive.  I may wait and go with the flow of traffic or I can augment my path with my own knowledge and intuition as to how have both flow smoothly.  My body's own consciousness and my own choices to move me freely while the re-construction of myself goes on.  Until my destination is reached.

I hope that may make some sense for you, the reader, with the different perspectives of consciousness.  Becoming aware of the different pitches of awareness and messages or metaphors that are all around us all the time to help us on our life's path.

What are you seeing, hearing or feeling that may give you some acknowledgement of your own life journey?

Reminds of a Joseph Campbell quote about if the path is easy it's not your path. Your path happens by you making it. And as we both know , there is no control. Difficult times and we must remember to breath and center. Thank you , donna. <3

It is important that we keep on bringing bridges together. It is important that we, as teachers, influence how the next generation are doing. Of course, it is hard to do that, but it is what we need to do. I want to keep on growing as well, and I feel like teaching is what is going to allow me to do that. Building bridges is the most important thing in the entire world right now, let us not forget that.

A few weeks ago we saw some writing in yellow and orange and little flags with ATT and gas company written on them scrolled on the pavement near our driveway. We speculated it meant the companies were coming to put in piping. Today it came, so much noise on our usually quiet street. I remembered your blog--- so what options do I have? How can I go with the flow? My father used to say, "This too shall pass". Things do come and go....

Thanks, Donna, for adding to my thought process
